My child was excited about learning to play the piano, but the enthusiasm has worn off.  Why?

Often times it is due to lack of practice time and learning the notes on the music staff.  Understandably school work takes top priority.  How much time will your child have to practice if they are involved in sports, have a tutor, or other after school activities?  Like all activities/skills, if time is not spent to establish the proper foundation or to maintain the skill, the piano becomes difficult and no fun to do, followed by “I want to quit piano lessons.”

I don’t own a piano – is a keyboard OK to start on?

*Due to scheduling lessons in the home, traffic flow and parking – I may not be able to teach in your home.
